First person to answer will be the brainiest

Answers

Answer:

You have a brand-new audio translation app on your phone. Just as you click on it for the first time, your dog starts barking. Words begin to appear on the screen. Since you aren't speaking, you quickly realize that your dog's barking is being translated. Originally, this app was meant for you to know people are saying in Japan since you were going to take a trip there without knowing Japanese. All you wanted to know was if the app worked as expected. The words start making out a sentence: "Hide somewhere before they appear." You don't know what this means, but the sentence isn't finished, your dog continues to bark. "They're coming. Go hide quickly." You dash to the kitchen and hide in a human-sized cabinet. You hear your dog barking and someone smashing through the window on the second floor. Your translator starts gathering the translation from your dog, "Call the police, they're robbing you!". You dial 911 and explain the situation, but you didn't tell them about the translator. The police arrives and they arrest the people who broke into your home. You step out of the cabinet once you know everything's safe. Apparently, the police discovered that the robbers were actually huge criminals they've been hunting down for a month now and they've stolen almost about 2M+ dollars. They tried stealing your furniture. You're shocked by what happened and all you can do is cry and thank your dog. Not only that, but you also thank yourself for downloading that app. You decide to keep the app and you can talk to your dog everyday using it. Now you live a happy life with this app and your dog and you've always been safe because of your dog ever since then.

There is no on family of African gods. Why is that? For African Pantheons

Answers

African mythology covers a vast area. The African continent includes so many countries, regions, languages, tribes, cultures and crossovers that the sheer diversity of prevailing Gods would seem overwhelming if there weren’t a few handy shortcuts.

Traditional African belief is overwhelmingly monotheistic. There may be spirits and ancestors floating around, but there’s only one God. Early missionaries made a complete pig’s ear of their research in this respect and seem to have delighted in cataloging as many ‘heathen’ Gods as they could possibly get away with.

African Creator Gods seem to follow a distinctive pattern — they are all extremely dissatisfied with their creations. There is much shaking of heads, turning away in sorrow and avoidance of contact. The humans are left to fend for themselves. Attempts to regain contact with their God by building a heavenly ladder are the subject of many an unhappy legend. On the whole, African Gods don’t like to be pestered, and humans have to learn to be content with their lot.

But while God sits in Heaven wringing his hands in despair, the ancestral spirits are very willing to take an active part in Earthly life. These are mostly into hunting and other practical subjects — with food, sex and booze as popular as always.

There is a remarkable innocence about the Gods of Africa. They seem naive and unworldly, believing the best of everyone and optimistically giving the benefit of the doubt to all and sundry. No wonder they are rudely disappointed when it turns out their badly-chosen favorites are up to no good.

Even communicating with their creation is full of problems. Vital messages of life and death are entrusted to whichever farmyard animal happens to be passing, and the resulting garble is likely to have profoundly unforeseen — and usually disastrous — consequences...

The Best Travel Experience Essay Ever

JULY 19, 2017 • ESSAY, TRAVEL TALES • VIEWS: 21076

Over the past seven years, I’ve been lucky enough to live and travel in many different countries. This has meant that I’ve regularly had experiences that other people dream of. When I think about my best travel experience ever, so many things jump out at me.

Learning to Scuba in the Great Barrier Reef. Bungy Jumping in New Zealand. Feeding elephants in Thailand. Teaching kids in Cambodia. Seeing the Christmas markets in Prague. And even cocktails on the beach in Mexico.

But one experience stands above the rest. And that was my trip to Myanmar. After meeting my bestie in Bangkok for some bonding time, we decided to take a trip to Myanmar. And after five hours of standing in the hot sun while we got our visas, I was almost ready to throw in the towel. It would all be worth it though.

We knew that wifi would be a struggle, which is why we committed to a digital detox. For our entire trip, we had to be in the moment, with no social media, no work, and complete focus on what we were doing and where we were.

For someone who is continually working and always connected, this was a challenge. But I do think it forced us to be present in a way that we wouldn’t have been if we were continually checking our phones.

First, we spent a few days in Yangon. While the Shwedagon Pagoda was a stand-out, the thing I really remember about Yangon was the food. We ate at an Indian place which is where I tasted the worst thing I’ve ever eaten. Still not sure what it was, but it tasted exactly like bile.

Next, we were on our way to Bagan. Bagan was magical with surprisingly good food, and more pagodas than we could shake a stick at. We hired a guide and spent a day on our e-bikes, clambering up some of the biggest temples and taking way too many photos.

But the highlight of the trip was the hot air balloon ride over the pagodas at sunrise. We were lucky to get a clear day, and many of the other rides had been cancelled due to poor weather. Actually standing in the hot air balloon was a weird feeling- it didn’t feel like I was floating in the air at all, and it was just like standing on the ground.

The pagodas were at their best at sunrise. They glowed in the sun, which picked up the gold and made it sparkle. While the ride was over too soon, and we had a somewhat bumpy landing, this still goes down as my best travel experience ever.

I am currently writing a novel, and I need to have your honest opinion of the beginning. Not, this is a backstory of how the character Winter got into where she is currently in chapter one. Please give an honest opinion. Let me tell you a story, starting from the beginning."No no no no no no no!" Winter raced through he woods trying to find a safe place to hide. There was no place to hide. She was alone. She couldn't turn back, because behind her was a killer. A killer who had slaughtered her entire family, and is now after her. She is scared, hurt and desperately trying to get away. The killer was a demon, and she was human. There was absolutely no way she could outrun him, but she could try. Winter was a survivor. And she strives to survive any situation, even insane demonic ex's named Cain.So there she was, running for her life from the man who trapped her and promised her eternal suffering so long as she still existed. So she stops and hides in a hollowed out tree. She knows she is not safee, she never was safe to begin with. so she just sits there and waits. She's only human, so she can only run for so long. Her legs are tired, screaming at her in agony. And her heart is pounding right out of her chest."Winter~ Come on out my snowflake, I'm not going to hurt you, I just want to see you" She could hear his voice echoing, his voice alone sent shivers through her. The voice of a psycho that wanted to see her suffer. It terrified her and she constantly wondered why it was her he went after. "WINTER! I know you're hiding, i can't hear your footsteps anymore." He was close "Come. out. now." Her hear rate increased ten times over and she struggled to breathe, she was having a panic attack. She was crying, she let all the grief of what had just happened sink in. She let the fact of her impending doom sink in, and she cried. Then she saw him, he was right in front of her, she continued to cry softly, letting out pained whispered screams. He yanked her out by her arm and held her arms tight and just smiled at her. "Got you now little snowflake. It's time to bring out the sun so you can melt away." She stared in his eyes, shaking her head no, she couldn't speak, she couldn't move, and she was scared as hell. There was nothing she could do. So he dragged her back to her house, the same house that he turned to a slaughterhouse for her family. In the living room where her little brother lied mangled in the corner, he let her go. She immediately collapsed to her knees staring at the ground in fear, disbelief and pain. She couldn't get up and run because her legs were tired and practically useless as of now. She was useless. "Why so grim love? You did this to yourself. You and your little ways that got me to fall in love with you. A sheep and a ravenous demon. How'd that turn out for you?" Cain grinned. She didn't answer. she just kept quiet."Well then, you must know what time it is now don't you?" She did. He was going to send her to a hell. A world she knew nothing of, a world full of danger that she would be trapped in, for eternity. She did not move, she just waited for her fate to come. Now, I know you're wondering, 'Why would anyone wish anything like this upon another living being?' Well, let me give you a few simple answers. Cain was a psycho, in the worst way he could possibly be. Not only that, he was a sadistic freak that adored to see Winter in pain. Why Winter? Well I personally wonder the same thing myself. You see, Cain loved her, and at one point she loved him. At the time, she did not know he was a raging psychopath. She just loved him.He promised her love, love beyond anything that her world could offer. But as time passed, she realized how much of a monster he was. His true sadistic nature revealed itself, and she broke up with him. He would not take that. He loved her, and he was insane, so he promised her he would be back, and he would destroy everyone she ever loved. He was going to give her a fate worse than death, by sending her somewhere she could never escape, somewhere that is completely inhuman. He was sending her to a practical hell, and she had no idea as to where or what it was. And the only funny thing about this story is that she is me.And today I woke up in hell What kind of symbols are MOST likely to be found on a mask used in a ritual? those that relate to spiritual beliefs those that are common in all cultures those that are understood by few peoplethose that are aesthetically pleasing to the culture HELP ME PLEASE ASAP!!Who were the leaders of industry in late nineteenth-century America and what industries did they control?
