Write a story on,”You discovered a magic pencil while you were traveling with your friends”.
Answer:
Story writing about a magic pencil found while traveling with friends.
Explanation:
Once during our summer vacations, a group of us decided to travel to the hills to escape the big cities and the heat. And as planned, we were on our way by the very next day.
Once we got to the resort, the scenery was something out of a fairytale. Lush green trees, mountains, clear skies- everything was as one would expect nature to be. It was so different from the big cities full of only concrete and noise. Here, everything was serene and you could clearly hear the birds sing.
We went trekking along the path to the forest, a familiar path for the tribal people living in the area. It was during one such leisure walks that I came upon a pencil, normal-looking but attractive in a way that it makes you wonder why it looks so antique. And as it was old looking, I decided that it would make a good souvenir and decided to take it with me.
One day, while taking down details of places we were to visit, I couldn't find any pen to use so I impulsively reach for the pencil, without giving it much thought. Nothing happened when I write down the words. But, as my fingers started doodling and trying to sketch, I was given the shock of my life when the apple that I drew emerged from the paper. Still in shock, I decided to test it again, this time, drawing a leaf. It immediately came real and it was then that I realized maybe this was a magic pencil.
I did not want to tell my friends about it or else they will either make fun of me or try to take it away from me. So, hiding the pencil, I tried my best to act normal. I didn't have the chance to try out the pencil for the whole trip. And on the very last day of our trip, I thought I might as well see if it still works. And sure, it did. Still unsure what to do with it, I then decided to take it with me to the city.
But unfortunately, I lost the pencil during the train ride, or maybe someone mistook it for a normal pencil and just used it and forgot to put it back. Whatever has happened is in the past, but I will, for sure, remember the experience I had in using the pencil. It was the one personal memory that will remain with me for the rest of my life.
Read this excerpt from Anne Frank Remembered. He didn't get angry, he just shrugged and shook his head at me. "Go upstairs to my boss." He told me the room number and continued to shake his head. Determined not to let my knees tremble, I forced myself up the steps to the room where I had been directed. I knocked on the door. No one answered, so I opened it. As the door swung open, I saw a round table filled with high-ranking Nazis. Their caps were on the table, and in the middle of the table was a radio. The radio was playing an English broadcast. Right away, I recognized the BBC. All their eyes burned into me. I realized that I had accidentally witnessed them committing a crime of treason, for which the penalty was death. Which line from the passage supports the theme “People overcome their fears to follow their beliefs”? “He told me the room number and continued to shake his head.” “Determined not to let my knees tremble, I forced myself up the steps to the room where I had been directed.” “As the door swung open, I saw a round table filled with high-ranking Nazis.” “I realized that I had accidentally witnessed them committing a crime of treason, for which the penalty was death.”

if lilliput is a caricature of england and its military policy, then what is swift implying about how the english government is run, how its leaders are chosen, and how its wars are decided upon?
Answer and Explanation:
Lilliput is one of the strange lands in Jonathan Swift's "Gulliver's Travels". Lemuel Gulliver, the main character in the novel, ends up in Lilliput, a land populated by people who are less than 6 inches tall. But that is not where the strangeness ends. The Lilliputians are vain, shallow people. They spend a great deal of their time with petty debates and nonsensical customs. For instance, those who are best at rope dancing are chosen for court positions. Their politicians are divided between those who wear low-heeled shoes (representing the English Whigs) and those who wear high-heeled shoes (representing the English Tories). It is important to note that the Lilliputians are at war with the Blefuscuans due to a dispute on which side of the egg should be broken first.
Since Lilliput is a caricature of England and its military policy (Blefuscu is a caricature of France), we can see how Swift is fiercely criticizing the British. He is implying that their wars are decided based on unimportant matters - which means lives are lost and destroyed for no good reason. He also indicates that the English government is run without seriousness of thought, by people who are not truly concerned with the well-being of the country. Appearances and money are more important to British politicians than actually helping their people.

Describe 3-4 experiences that Stephen King shared about his life and explain how those experiences may have influenced him in terms of his interest and ability to convey feelings of terror and horror
Answer and Explanation:
We cannot mention the experiences that King had during his life, without mentioning the moment when he witnessed his friend being hit and killed by a train, when he was a child. Although King claims that it did not influence him at all, we cannot fail to affirm that this is the moment of horror that he lived and that is directly related to his work, but that he can have an influence, even if it is only in the subconscious of King, being exposed when he allows his characters to experience shocking and traumatic moments.
Another experience that King had was the economic difficulty in supporting a family. King married and had children in his youth and had many difficulties in being able to support his family economically. He and his family went through many hardships in relation to money and because of that, King had to deal with the uncertainty and fear of what the future would hold for them. This may have influenced King's work to present very human characters, that in addition to facing supernatural problems, they must deal with real problems of adult life. This allows many readers to identify with the characters.
One last experience to be mentioned is the problem that King faced with alcoholism and drug addiction. This may have been King's most difficult experience, as it made him lose track of reality, a good relationship with his children and wife and the dominance of his life. King's characters constantly deal with these factors, which shows that much of what he writes reflects King's own problems, which makes the work even more palatable, as he manages to write about something he really knows.

Give me all the character traits of the character Martha and Pam from the short story "Martha Martha"
Answer and Explanation:
Pam is a middle-aged, divorced real estate agent. This shows that Pam has some experiences in her life, as a person who has been through a lot and it seems that she is still dealing with these things, facing the problems of the past. Pam knows a lot of people, because of her work, she seems more thoughtful and rational than Martha and therefore, some people may think she is a flat character, but pam is quite profound, mainly in relation to her thoughts.
Martha, on the other hand, is a younger character and seems inexperienced, but we know that she went through something very serious and is running away from it. She is very careful with the answers she gives and the way she gets it and it shows that she is afraid to reveal who she really is, as this refers to the situation she is trying to escape from, Martha seems like a deeper character.
