Use Pascal's Triangle to expand (5z + 5x²)³. Express your
answer in simplest form.

Answers

The simplest form is 15z+ 15x²

How to simplify the given expression ?

In algebra, a triangle-shaped grouping of integers known as Pascal's triangle provides the coefficients for the expansion of any binomial formula, such as (x + y)n. Although it is much older, it bears the name of the French mathematician Blaise Pascal from the 17th century.

Because it has so many patterns that can be used to greatly simplify complex calculations, Pascal's triangle is significant.

Given,

(5z+5 x²)3

15z+15x² by simplifying,

3(5z+5 x²)

apply the distributive formula :a (b + c) =ab + ac

3(5z+5 x²) = 5x+3 * 5x²

By simplifying 3 5z+3 , 5x², 15z+15x²

we get

15z+ 15x²

Therefore the simplest form is 15z+ 15x² .

Answer: 4 cm

EF is 20 cm and BC is 5. Take 20 divided by 5 and you get 4. This is the amount of how much the shape enlarged. For AC, take 16 divided by 4 and you get 4.

Hope it helps.

Answer and Step-by-step explanation:

We can use two methods to find the length of AC.

First method is the Pythagorean Theorem method.

The Pythagorean Theorem Formula is:

[tex]a^2 + b^2 = c^2[/tex]

Where:

a and b = are sides of a triangle

c = the hypotenuse

Plug in the values:

[tex]3^2 + (AC)^2 = 5^2\\\\\\\\9 + (AC)^2 = 25\\\\\\\(AC)^2 = 16\\\\\\AC = 4[/tex]

That means the length of side AC is equal to 4.

Background knowledge also tells us that this is a 3 4 5 triangle, because we have a 5 as the hypotenuse and a 3 for one of the sides.

Second method involving Similarity

We are told that the triangles are similar, which means that one of the triangle id a dilated version of the other, and vise versa.

We can find out the scale factor for these triangles by dividing the corresponding side lengths (which we will be using the hypotenuses).

20 divided by 5 = 4

If we divide the corresponding side of AC by 4, it will result in our answer.

16 divided by 4 = 4.

So, AC = 4

10. Find the solution set for the following
y=x²-3x-4
y-x=-4

Answers

Answer:

I have no idea tbh I need help with this too

Step-by-step explanation:

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We want all equations in terms of “y.” The first equation (the quadratic) is already in terms of y, but the second equation (linear equation) is not in terms of y.

Solving second equation in terms of y:

Add x to both sides:

y=-4+x

Use the commutative property if addition to rearrange the Rayo to y=mx+b form:

y=x-4

So, we have a quadratic function and a linear equation.

Pay close attention to the equations below:

y=x²-3x-4

y=x-4

Both equations are equal to y, and because a system of equation solves for interception points on the two functions (the point where the two functions contain the same x and y-coordinates), the y-coordinates must be equal to each other. Therefore, the equations can be set equal to each other:

(x-4)=x²-3x-4

Factor the quadratic:

(x-4)=(x+1)(x-4)

Now, let’s solve for x:

Divide both sides by (x-4):

(x-4)/(x-4)=[(x+1)(x-4)]/(x-4)

Simplify:

1=(x+1)

Subtract 1 to both sides:

1-1=x

0=x

Apply the symmetric property:

x=0

Now that we know the two equations intercept at x=0, let’s plug 0 back into “y” to find its value. Since both equations are set equal, plug x=0 in for either one.

y=(0)-4

y=-4

So, a solution set is (0, -4) and (4, 0)

Answer:  60 degrees

======================================================

Reason:

Use the HL (hypotenuse leg) theorem to prove that triangle BCF is congruent to triangle DCF.

It then leads to the fact that angle BCF is congruent to angle DCF.

Set those angle expressions equal to one another. Solve for x.

angle BCF = angle DCF

4x+6 = 7x-12

4x-7x = -12-6

-3x = -18

x = -18/(-3)

x = 6

Then,

angle BCF = 4x+6 = 4*6+6 = 30angle DCF = 7x-12 = 7*6-12 = 30

Both angles are the same measure to confirm the correct x value.

Lastly, add up those angles to get angle BCD.

30+30 = 60 degrees is the final answer.

Two shipping companies charge different amounts to ship a package. Company A charges a fee of $6.50 and $0.35 for each pound. Company B charges a fee of $7.25 and $0.25 for each pound. Write an equation that could be used to find p, the number of pounds each package would have to weigh for the total cost of shipping the packages to be the same.

Answers

The number of pounds each package would have to weigh for the total cost of shipping the packages to be the same will be 7.50 pounds.

What is the solution to the equation?

The allocation of weights to the important variables that produce the calculation's optimum is referred to as a direct consequence.

The cost to transport an item varies between two shipping providers. The price charged by Company A is $6.50 plus $0.35 per pound. Charges from Company B are $7.25 plus $0.25 per pound.

Let 'p' be the number of pounds and 'T' be the total cost of shipping. Then the equations are given as,

T = 0.35p + 6.50

T = 0.25p + 7.25

If the total cost of shipping the packages is to be the same. Then the number of pounds is given as,

0.35p + 6.50 = 0.25p + 7.25

0.35p - 0.25p = 7.25 - 6.50

0.10p = 0.75

p = 7.50 pounds

The number of pounds each package would have to weigh for the total cost of shipping the packages to be the same will be 7.50 pounds.

an object hangs from a string in a stable position and is represented by the function y=4sin(3x)+4, with time in x seconds. what is the maximum height of the object, and when does it occur on the interval 0

Answers

Answer:

Here we have the position of an object represented by the equation:

y = 4*sin(3*x) + 4

Where we can assume that y represents the height of the object.

We want to find the maximum height of the object, and for which value of x it happens in the interval 0 ≤ x ≤ 5

First let's find the maximum height.

y = 4*sin(3*x) + 4

Here the only variation is on the sin( ) part, we know that the maximum value of the sin(x) function is:

sin(x) = 1

when x = 90° = pi/2 = 3.14/2

Replacing that in the equation, we get:

y = 4*1 + 4 = 8

The maximum height of the object is 8.

Now, we know that the maximum of the sin(x) function is when x = pi/2

But in our case, we have the function sin(3*x)

Then this function is maximized when:

3*x = pi/2

x = pi/(2*3) = pi/6 = 3.14/6

And:

0 < 3.14/6 < 5

Then the first maximum occurs at x = 3.14/6 = 0.52

But it can happen again on the interval.

The next maximum of the sin(x) function is when:

x = pi/2 + 2*pi

In our case, we again have sin(3*x), then we need to solve:

3*x = pi/2 + 2*pi

x = (pi/2 + 2*pi)/3 = (3.14/2 + 2*3.14)/3 = 2.62

This is also in the interval 0 < x < 5

The next maximum of sin(x) happens at:

x = pi/2 + 2*pi + 2*pi

In our case, for sin(3*x) we need to have:

3*x = (pi/2 + 2*pi + 2*pi)

x = (3.14/2 + 2*3.14 + 2*3.14)/2 = 4.71

This again is in the interval 0 < x < 5

(is closer to the upper value, so we can expect that the next maximum does not belong to the interval)

Then the maximum height occurs at:

x = 0.52

Then occurs again at:

x = 2.62

And finally occurs again at:

x = 4.71

This means that they want certain books removed from circulation, content they consider offensive (nudity, language, violence, etc.) removed from television or movies, CDs with certain lyrics either "cleaned up" or removed from store shelves, etc. For example, there are some schools who do not think Mark Twain's novel Huckleberry Finn should be read by their students; in a few cases, some people have gone as far as burning it in a public demonstration. Large retailers have refused to sell CDs with lyrics they consider inappropriate. What do you think about this type of censorship? Write a speech in which you explain what censorship is, give some examples of it in society today, and finally whether or not you think censorship should happen. Here are some questions to help guide you:How is censorship defined?What are some examples of censorship? Has it happened in your own community at all?Why do some people believe censorship is necessary? Why do others believe it isn't?How do you feel about the issueIs it good to censor offensive materials to keep these things away from children?Do you think some things should be censored but others left alone?
